| guest52003 | Hello, I have heard there are "long-distance taxis" from the west bus station in Kunming(马街西部客运站). Can anyone confirm or give insight on how best to go about arranging one? Is it best just to show up at the station and ask around? Does anyone know the proper term for these long-distance taxis in Chinese? Also, I've received conflicting reports on whether or not gaokuai buses leave from 马街西部客运站 in the morning. Any tips or advice are greatly appreciated! Andrew |

| GUEST6447 | GUEST52003, There are direct buses from 马街西部客运站 to Dali Ancient City. The last bus departs at 19:20. |

| GUEST52003 | Thank you for your reply GUEST6447, but I was already aware that direct buses do exist. I'm particularly interested in if they leave in the morning, and even more importantly, any information on long distance taxis. |

Thanks It seems you need to fly to Dalian from Kunming (duration time is about 5 hours). THere is no direct flight from Dali to Dalian and also direct trains from Kunming and Dali to Dalian. |
