GOOD MONTHLY WAGES IN SHANGHAI OR BUSAN

I am seriously considering a move to the Shanghai/Busan area to teach English. I have questions: Is 2500 won a good wage for me to live on in this city provided I have free housing and medical benefits? I am assuming Shanghai is an expensive city to live in. How about cost of living in Busan?

2500 RMB or USD?
I know people they live on 4000 RMB in Shanghai (with free housing and medical benefits)
I live in Nanjing and can live with around 2500RMB (free housing) and Nanjing is not as expensive as Shanghai....
