Hello

My name is Patrick, I am 24 and from Switzerland. By the end of April I will travel to Shanghai where I will work 2 days a week.

I am looking for a home/family stay during the first months. My motivation to live with a Chineses family is not only to learn the language, but also learn about the culture and the daily life.

I would highly appreciate if someone could give me some information how to find a place.

Thank you,

Patrick

I provide apartment/homestay accommodation for international visitors.

I'm bilingual (Mandarin and English)

My apartment is in a nice and safe apartment complex. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
And it's close to the public transportations.

for photos and more info, email me at hotmail.com|jins_reception

Hello Cristinajin

Thanks for the reply. How many people live there? Is your family live there too?

I live with my parents right now. there are three people at the moment.

In May, my partner will visit me.

But we still have a spare room for you.

To have privacy, it's better for us to email than post messages here. :-P

Thanks.

Patrick,

There is a Chinese Union in Zueirch, Some of them are from Shanghai, if you place a message there, you might be able to get some help. Here is the link.

http://www.cuz-online.org/cuz_cn/forum/index.php

The other webpage: http://www.ruishi.info, Chinese in West part of Switzerland. The visitors of the web page are mostly your age. Most of them are the single child in the family. Their family back in China might love to have a Swiss young man to stay with them.

Good luck with your stay in China.

Hi Patrick,

I just return Australia from my lovely shanghai trip . Due to only speaking English , I found it was a bit harder for me to survive in china . So I suggest you should organize well before you arrive there. You can try to email hotmail.com|abchomestay ,and let them help you arrange the accomodation . I got a reasonable price place to stay from them , which depends on your burgets and requests .
Feel free to contact me ,if you have more question

Darren from Sydney
