Hi,
Can you kindly give me advice what activities we can do during December in Beijing? Is it super cold? How cold? We will be staying from December 19-23.

Also, where is a good shopping area? We will be staying at the swiss hotel.

So you will be in Beijing from December 19 to 23 of 2011. It's really a long time from now. Well, it will be winter time, and the temp is around -10℃to 4℃ in the past 2010. You could go to skiiing that time period.

About shopping, you could try Wangfujing and Xian. I also know that the wholesale markets around Beijing Zoo are very popular among international visitors.

Haha, Swissotel... I love there... Shopping place... For fake stuff and joyful bargain with those salesgirl, Yashow market at Sanlitun east of Swissotel is a good one. But if you are looking for some high quality&luxury stuff, Wangfujing would be a good choice... Silk market is similar to yashow with those English and other languages speaking sales and foreign travelllers love that.

Any other questions, just let me know. I'll be helpful just because the hotel you stay - really familar with that area:-)
