I'm flying into Beijing this week and I have to make a connecting flight that leaves 2 hrs later, is that going to be enought time to get thru customs ? I'm only going to have one bag so there will not be much to check. I'm a little concerned because I don't want to miss this flight its the last one of the day

Thanks, Dave

Alan, I have found baggage and immigration process at PEK are very timely. If you can carryon the bag, you will save some time. The domestic and international terminals are in the same building, 30 seconds apart. Departure is upstairs from arrival. When you get off international filght, there will be airline people that maybe able to help you. Or make a local friend on the flight over. In PEK, there are many English signs, you will know where to go. One note - for domestic flights there is a 50 RMB airport construction fee , it can only be purchased in the main hall, before you go to check-in desk. It needs to be paid in RMB, there are currency exchange machines in international arrival that you can feed US notes and get RMB. The airport construction fee is waived if you have ticket for connecting domestic flight, don't know about international. You will be turned back at some point if you need it/do not have it. It would be cheap insurance to buy it.

I think you can make your transfer. Sorry, I do not have more info, never made a direct international/domestic connection.

On your international departure make sure you have 90 RMB for the international airport construction fee.

Good luck, I think you will enjoy China
