heading to China with my nieces what to do in Beijing

My partner and I are heading to China with my nieces as one of them has always wanted to see the great wall (they are 11 - twins). Aside from that, the forbidden city and T - square..where should we take the girls (and ourselves) in beijing..and any good day trips?

There are many places of interests to go in Beijing, like the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Bird's Nest. You could also pay a visit to the Beijing Zoo to visit the lovely pandas. Here is a list of Beijing attractions: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/beijing/

Besides that, Happy vally is a good amusement park for kids :)
