I am a nigerian and my fiance is a ghanian currently lives in china. Can we get married in china and what are the procedures to get married in china?

You can't get married in China because you are not resident in China, if you and your fiance both work or reside in China, it is possible for you to make marriage registration at Nigerian embassy in China or Ghanian embassy in China.

We both have student visa and we are a student in one of the university. Does that mean we will go back to our different country to get married?

You both have students in one of the university, then you should have residence permit, X visa holders must apply for Temporary Residence Permit within 30 days after entry. You can make marriage registration in China. Please go to Nigeria embassy or ghanian embassy in Beijing to enquire the detailed procedures.
