visa application says 'to be advised'

guest24770 Hi! I am Dianne from Davao. I applied China Tourist Visa 2 weeks ago through a travel agency. The agent informed me that the status of my application is 'to be advised'. Does it really take that long to process my visa? I heard its only 4 working days. Can i call the embassy to check the status myself? Thanks!
