![]() | The Fukushima power plant in Japan was damaged in Friday’s huge earthquake and tsunami. The emergency cooling system at a second nuclear reactor at the power plant has failed, raising fears of serious accident but officials have said the low radiation levels pose no risk to human health. Radioactive meltdowns may have occurred in two reactors of the nuclear power plant. The No. 3 reactor at the No. 1 Fukushima plant had lost the ability to cool the reactor core. The reactor is now in the process of releasing radioactive steam. |
