| Hi, I have only Been to Hong Kong once last year so Im sure there are others with much better advice. Might be a Idea to change just a Little money to HKD in your Home country first in case the Exchange at Airport not work late.I have always found Airports the worst exchange rate to change currency. Hong Kong airport was a pleasure compared to many others I have been in,still difficult first time but okay. When you arrive you will most likely take one our two short journeys in a very short Train ride withing the terminals, just follow the others and some signs. I bought a Train ticket that included a Hotel bus for I think $100 HKD , my hotel was on the list but not sure where your Guest house is our the hours the Train runs. The Train was very good but I had quite a wait for the free Bus,there were plenty of Taxis so maybe this might be better at that late time,if the Train runs that late at night I think it would be easier then the Bus as there is lots of Room for Luggage etc. I had trouble buying a Octupus Card, the Bus drivers did not help at all. You buy the Card from any main Train Station, thats the only place I found that sold them, they worked great. The Trams run all the time, just jump on they are very cheap ( I forget) Didnt seem much trouble if you get on wrong one just get off and change onto another. Sorry I didnt do the Tourist things,I was there for a trade show. The ride on the ferrys were good,I didnt really no where I was going but got back to my Hotel okay. In all I found Hong Kong quite easy to get around and certainly interesting, very expensive I thought. |
