Transportation from Chengdu to Leshan (Giant Buddha)

guestTrav Hello,

Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Chengdu to Leshan to see the Giant Buddha? This is my very first visit to China and I know a very minimal amount of Mandarin, just enough to make the locals laugh! I'll be there for 2 days only. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are many buses from Chengdu to Leshan. You could take one at Chengdu Xinnanmen Passenger Station (成都新南门客运站) to reach Leshan Xiaoba Passenger Station (肖坝客运站). After, take bus no. 13 from Xiaoba Passenger Station to the Giant Buddha. It takes about rmb50 and 2 hours from Chengdu to Leshan.
