Yesterday, I went to the food market to buy some vegetables and fruits. Everything was expensive. Finally, I just bought broccoli and cabbage. The fruits were much more expensive. 1/2 kg strawberry cost 10 yuan. Unbelievable!

It is reported that the US energy prices have risen at an annual pace of 29 percent while food prices have risen 14 percent. Inflation fears have also risen in the United States.

What’s the situation in your country? Do you also suffer from the soaring food prices?

Several days ago, the four consumer goods companies in China including Unilever and Guangzhou Liby Enterprise Group planned to raise the prices by 5-15% since April. Many Chinese consumers learned this and cleared the shelves of of shampoos, soaps and detergents in the supermarkets.

To ease the public panic, the NDRC met the consumer goods companies. Finally, Unilever and other consumer goods companies have claimed that they have postponed to increase the prices.

Rising food prices nearing danger point: World Bank,(A report)
The price of wheat in Pakistan has almost tripled since 2008, making people in places like the poorer suburbs of Lahore, capital of Punjab Province, wonder how they will feed their families, A few years ago we paid just a little over Rs 200 [US$2.35] for a 20kg bag of wheat flour,“Today, we pay over Rs 550 [$6.47] for the same amount, which lasts us less than a month, while the prices of vegetables, lentils, spices and everything else have also soared.
