![]() | Most economic pundits here in Australia have the A$ continuing to surge as long as the Chinese economy doesn't collapse. $A1.10 to the US$ is predicted for this year and $A1.15 is not out of the question. Don't sell yet. |

I also like investing in the stock market for fun and profit. I usually find forex trading very fickle and unpredictable so I avoid it. However the near term future for the A$ against the US$ looks certain as long as America continues quantative easing untill at least June and China doesn't do anything too radical to combat inflation. Predicting $A movements beyond June is impossible. Good luck mate. |

![]() | P.S. Australian resource companies still look undervalued to me. Iron ore and Rare Earth miners in particular look like great value.Take a look at LYC.AX and AGO.AX. Also FMG.AX which is soon to list on the Hong Kong exchange in order to raise capital for further expansion. |

Next stop USBOBERT.10.The exchange rate in normal market economies is defined by the difference in interest rate, does not apply to china, of course, because of its forex restrictions just like chekoslovakia 1985,so, higher interst in one currency means it moves up. ![]() | The "quantative easing" of the US dollar also inflates the nominal value of foreign currencies. Interest rates are headed up in Australia and the US will keep printing money. Money for jam. |
