guestChasant	I will be traveling to Guangzhou for Canton Fair. I want to be able to see all the phases (at least a day for each), so I plan on using the interval days to travel and see the most beautiful parts of China. I plan to visit Shanghai, Xinjiang and if possible, Harbin. I have seen endless tour websites and offerings online. My question is, would you recommend I pay for some of these tours or I get to China first and find a tour company? Is it possible the hotel I will be staying in can offer me a personal tour guide? Can I get a personal tour guide from the airport? Can the hotel be any helpful in this case? Please share your opinion. I want to enjoy my stay in China with unforgettable memories. my advice:

first: searching for a nice translator/translators on net in the places you have planed to go.
airport or hotel will not service you tour guild. tour agent off course would offer tour guild. but the places
you have planed as you posted are not only one. it is a bit to find a tour agnet to cover your plans.

you can hire a personal translator/guide for Conton fair, guangzhou city. if you can get along with this translator well and she/he is willing to travel with you to onter cities. you d better take her/him to other cities, othwise you need to look for different guide in different cities.
