CHINESE PORK CLAY POT RECIPE WITH GARLIC!! PLEASE HELP
Apr 10, 2011 00:12
guest23148 I was recently in China and we had many great meals but Im looking for one recipe specifically and am having no luck at all!! I probably do a bad job describing it but here goes::
This was a clay pot dish.. I was told it was pork and the main thing that I remember was it had a very large amount of whole garlic cloves. Maybe 150.. no joking.. at first I said wow this must be strong.. But the baking time or something made the garlic cloves soft and amazingly tasty. I have high cholesterol and look for dishes with lots of garlic in it and this dish had TONS of it.. If anyone knows what Im talking about please email me or reply.. my email is yahoo.com|brianooch

How does it taste? Very spicy? I am not sure if it was Shui Zhu Rou Pian(水煮肉片). But there are not many garlic cloves in this dish. It is very spicy.

GUEST23148 Thank you for your reply.. No it was not very spicy.. it was similar to the dish on the link below...

(the meat was substituted for pork, it was not pig belly, and I do not remember any eggs in it either... this recipe i just found seems similar because of the garlic and the clay pot cooking but the eggs were not in this dish. Thank you so much!!
