Romanian tennis promoter Ion Tiriac who owns the Madrid Open tournament has given some “reform proposals” on tennis matches.

No.1 introducing hawk-eye technology to clay courts.
No.2 Using bigger and slower balls (10 to 15 percent bigger)
No.3 Changing the color of the clay courts to BLUE.

He believes that those changes can attract more people watching tennis games. But some tennis players do not think so. Nadal, King of Clay, is not happy about Madrid Open. He insists that the clay should be red instead of blue because history and tradition tell us it should be red.

GUEST1411 Hawk-eye is useful. The judges can make decisions by tracing the patterns of the tennis ball when it hits the ground. But they may make mistakes sometimes.

Using bigger and slower balls is ok. But I do not think it is good to change the color or the courts. Clay court represents the French Open and Green grass court is the symbol of Wimbledon Grand Slam. They are classic.
