| I am well aware of the the benefits of 苦瓜 for 下火 but it is really disgustingly bitter. Does anyone know how to cook it in order to make it more bearable? |

| Quick-boil it in boiling water for a few seconds and you will find it is not bitter. Here is another way but I haven't tried it. You can add oyster sauce when you fry or make cold dishes. |

| After quick-boiling it in boiling water, you still need to put it in the cold water for a few minutes. It will be much better. |
