how to cook 苦瓜(kugua)

I am well aware of the the benefits of 苦瓜 for 下火 but it is really disgustingly bitter. Does anyone know how to cook it in order to make it more bearable?

Quick-boil it in boiling water for a few seconds and you will find it is not bitter. Here is another way but I haven't tried it. You can add oyster sauce when you fry or make cold dishes.

After quick-boiling it in boiling water, you still need to put it in the cold water for a few minutes. It will be much better.

Thanks, LingYu. Actually I hate bitter melon. But I will try to add oyster sauce to see if it works.
