Shangri La to Lhasa

My girlfriend and I are looking to travel from Shangri La to Lhasa after exploring the Yunan Province.

Research suggests that we will have to get a package to ensure that we have the correct visas and a tour guide which appears to be compulsory for any time spent in Tibet.

Has anyone got any suggestions for a possible itinerary for 10 days for example?

If possible we would like to take our time travelling between the two cities so that we really get the chance to explore Tibet as it might be our one and only chance to do this trip.

To travel in Tibet, the foreign visitors are required to travel in groups and they must have Tibet Travel Permit. That's why you'd better take a package. Here are some itineraries for your reference:
