EU has fully implemented the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive since May 1. According to the directive, all herbal products are required to obtain authorization before entering the EU market.

Actually the law came into effect on April 30, 2004. To help TCM companies obtain the authorization, the EU allows TCM products can still be sold until April 30, 2011 and these companies should obtain the authorization before April 30, 2011. Unfortunately, none of Chinese TCM companies have obtained the authorization.

Probably, you will not see TCM in the EU market. What do you think of this?

GUEST4658 I believe that acupuncture treatment is useful because I tried it before. But I didn't try TCM. Someone told me that TCM has some side-effects.

Western medicines also have side-effects. TCM is new to many westerners. How can you convince a guy to accept something that they are not familiar with?
