Can we swim, outside, in China?

This summer we will be in China. We stay in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wuzhen, Suzhou, Zhangjiagang and Beijing. Does anyone know if there is a possibility to swim outside? I doesn't mean in a swimmingpool, but in a lake or river. Any ideas?

Now I haven't been to all those places but yes absolutely I would imagine they would be plenty of remote areas lakes/rivers to go swimming in
