| guestJasmin | Hello, I need some help/advice. My family (3) will be going to Beijing for about 5 days. We would like to include (1) The Great Wall and Ming Tomb, (2) Tian An Men and Forbidden City, (3) Temple of Heaven, (4) Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, (5) Drum & Bell Towers, Houhai hutong. (6) 2008 Olympic Stadiums What is the suggested itinerary? What are the recommended hotel accommodation (average to budget type) with breakfast included? Thanking you in advance. regards, Jasmin |

 | hi jasmin: here are some advice for u:  u only have 5days in beijing but u have so many place interested. so if you have another 1 day, that would be good. any way, it's all depend your transportation vehicle. beijing has very bad traffice jams.  having a car would make your whole trip comfortable.1st day: tian'an men square and forbidden city are a good choice. it would spend your 4_6hours. after visting, your and your family may be very tired. so in the first day afternoon, drum &bell towers and visiting houhai hutongs are adviced. renting a bicycle or trying a pedicabs can help you relieve your strength. 2nd day:lama temple and Confucius Temple. afternoon:2008 olymapic Stadiums 3rd day:the temple of heaven. after 3days you and your family may want have a rest. so this afternoon you could go back to have rest because great wall and ming tomb is not in the center of beijing. if you don't want waste your time, shopping in 3rd days aafternoon is ok. here is a very famous shopping market named pearl marked near the temple of heaven. so many foreigners like to go there. 4th day:the great wall. beijing has a lot of sections of the great wall.they all called great wall but have some differents. here are some tips: Badaling great wall is the most famous and convenient one. but in my opinion it's the worst one.so many tourists and hawkers here.Mutianyu section and Juyongguan section also full of tourists. But unlike other sections,Mutianyu has a beautiful landscape all the year around. in summer,people fell cool here with the luxuriant green trees and grass.But Mutianyu section will spend you 2_3hours to get. Section of Jinshanling maybe the best section of great wall in being in my opinion. The Great Wall at Jinshanling is one of the best preserved parts of the Great Wall with many original features. But it's nearly in the province of Heibei. on the other hand, due to it original features,the section of jinshanling is one of the most dangerous section of great wall in beijing. choose which section is up to you. if i were u, i would choose mutianyu section. 5th day: 13 ming tombs. ming tombs and great wall are not adviced travelling in one day. if you have another day, shopping in the silk mark would be good. 798 art factory also a hot destination. hotel: capital hotel 4stars/ minzu hotel 4stars / chains city hotel 3stars / bamboo garden hotel 2stars/and so on here are my advice.i am a tour guide, if you have any question,please contact me. my mail address:sina.com|liuxiaopeng128  |

| hi, 1:having a professional tour guide in the forbidden city and the temple of heaven is a good idea. these places are much different from the western culture. but if you'd like to tarvel alone,it's ok. but i think it would be a little bit of boring. one house, another house,oh! so many "same" room in this huge palace. 2 hotel: http://english.homeinns.com/ 3choose on section of the great wall which you favourite most is nescessary. these section are located in different parts of beijing. after you decide one,i would give you some advice and tell you how to get there. if you need any help, please contact me shilry i have no idea why my mialbox can't reply you message. pls cnatact me here. |

Have a travel and tour with their great temples, museums, and the latest attraction is the Olympic Venues , the Bird nest and Water Cube. There are still Tourist attractions that you must visit. Experience also their beautiful hotels and resorts. |
