Do I need a visa to travel through China?

guest03114 I am a Canadian citizen heading back home to Canada from Sydney to LAX through china. My layover is only 4hrs long but I dont know if I need a visa... Any ideas?

If you transit Shanghai for 4 hours, you don't need a visa even though you leave the airport. If you transit other cities in China, a visa is not required if you stay at the airport transit airside without leaving the airport.

GUEST03114 Thanks! Yeah Im just getting off and getting back on in Guangzhou on a connecting flight... Dont even collect my bags just off and on!
