What I need is an internet broadband connection ... suitable for voice over ip connections and VPN. These VPN and VoIP servers are located in Europe. So far I know Chinese Telecom is the only provider in this field who can give you a fast access to international sites and computers (if you are a foreigner) Does someone has more info on this? I have heard that - in most cases - chinese internet speed is poor when it comes to international connections. So ... does someone has a recommendation for me? I will live in the center of Xi'an. I'm not sure about this. I think all broadband services are availablt to all people, no matter you are a Chinese or a foreigner.
Telecom is not the only one offering broadband service in Xian. Also, even Telecom offers many products, 2M, 4M or even faster. So speed won't be a problem.
You need to wait to see what's available in your future living place.
