Exactly. So just tell your friend "Buy lottery ticket personally". If he can't understand it, better explain to him that you just want to protect your friendship.

It is easier said than done. If he doesn't win the lottery prize, you will definitely give the lottery ticket back to him. What if he wins? Honestly, I might be lured by the money.
