Hi,
I am going going to Dalian in August for a few months to live and travel with my partner. He already has a job and is working out there.
I am wondering if it is possible to work for up to one month on a tourist visa in China? or if any type of visa will enable me to visit China and find work without an invite from a company in China to work?
any information would be great!
thanks!

It is impossible to work for up to one month on a tourist visa in China, you can apply for a tourist visa (L visa) to visit China and find work without an invitation letter from a company in China. You can't write that the purpose of coming to China is to find a job, you write that you come to China for tourism. Once you get a L visa and enter China, you can find a job during the stay duration, but it is illegal to work on a L visa.
