Hello,

I arrived in China last September with an F-Visa for 6 months, I then renewed it for 6 months more. Now I have decided to stay 6 months more to study (at a private school). Is it possible to renew it again?

I have been told I need to go Hong Kong and come back, however an agency told me they can renew it for 2500 RMB without having to leave mainland China. I'd rather avoid using an agency but perhaps I don't have a choice. What do you think? Should I try to renew it on my own, and if so, how should I do it?

Thank you,

Laurent

You can try to renew F visa for another 6 months on your own at the local Exit-Entry Administrative Bureau, if the application is denied, you can go to Hong Kong to get it.

Thanks for your help. I'm going to give it a try. Will I need a letter from my school to renew the F visa?
