Travel from Shanghai to Hefei

G'day there. I am looking for helpful advice from a local.
I land in Shaghai at 5.45am and I need to get to Hefei. There's a China Eastern at 7.30 but I wont have time to get on. Mmmm no other options I see. Train?? There's a departure at 8.30 but then it takes a long time to get to the railway station from the Airport.
If anyone has any advice I'll be so happy.

I'm afraid you could only reach Hefei either by train or bus from Shanghai. I prefer D-trains, which are faster. You could take subway line 2 from Pudong airport to Hongqiao Railway station, get off, buy the train ticket, and then go to Heifei. There are many D-trains each day from Hongqiao railway station to Hefei.
