i'm travelling from the US; i have read that you can't discuss politicts with the general populace because of the government; not that my intention would be to "convert" anybody but just to ask what their opinion is of living in an alternative government lifestyle, is this ok or not? contrary to public opinion, we don't have a totally free society as the world believes...also i will be spending several days in tibet, i know you can't talk about the dahli lama, but can you discuss buddhism and their practices?

GUEST2446 Better avoid issues about politics. Even you ask them about politics, many locals won't say anything. I think they are willing to discuss about Buddhism and their practices with you if you want to learn more about them.
