| Do you know how many Emperors during the Ming Dynasty? How many Ming Emperors lived in the Forbidden City? How many Ming Emperors burried in the Ming Tomb area? You could have a guess. I will tell you the answers latter. There were 16 emperors during the Ming Dynasty. There were 14 emperors lived in the Forbidden City. And there were 13 Ming Emperors burried in the Ming Tombs. But why? That's because the first Ming Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang,made the capital in Nanjing.And he built his tomb in Nanjing and he burried there. The second emperor of Ming dynasty is Zhu yunwen.He was disappeared after his uncle usurped the power from him. There was no tomb of the second Ming Emperor. From the third Ming Emperor ZhuDi moved the capital from Nanjing to Beijing. But the seventh Ming Emperor Jingtai, after the "Coup of Seizing the Gate",he was buried as a prince in Jinshan Mountain on the western outskirts of Beijing |
