| China has banned all logging of forests for some time, as I remembered. Last year, the central government required the local governments at all levels to limit the manufacture and sales of disposable chopsticks. A war against disposable chopsticks has begun. It seems that China has made up its mind to end the use of the chopsticks. However, Times reports that China buys chopsticks from a small Georgia Town. According to the boss, the chopsticks are mainly sent to China and few are sold to Japan and other countries. Once I read that Japan imports around 97 percent of its chopsticks from China and it just produces less than 3 percent. Now China learns a good lesson Japan: buying chopsticks abroad to meet its demand. |
