Chengdu to India help

Hi I am hoping to find out about a tourist visa from Chengdu Sichuan province to New Delhi in India.
I want to find out can I get a tourist visa from Chengdu in order to go to India for a holiday. Do I go to a Embassy or Consulate if their is a difference, I have never got a visa for India before so am just trying to find out how I do this.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

GUEST6134 I guess that you won't get your tourist visa in Chengdu. The Embassy of India is in Beijing and there are three consulates in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai. You'd better contact the embassy or consulate for detailed info:
