TRAVELFROX Points: Join Date: Jul 31, 2011 Status: offline	I am going to China in this coming September. One of the place i gonna visit is Wuyishan. Anyone has been there? What are the Must places to go and How to navigate there?

Once you get to the scenic area in the mountains you will need to do a lot of walking and climbing if you want to experience anything other than the view at the bottom. It is well worth the effort though and if you take your time it is not too tough. There are 3 different walking paths that I went on.There is the climb up to the temple, the round trip to the giant stone Budda and another to a very small crack between rocks that you walk through.
The electric carts (or fake looking trains) are only to get you to the scenic area from the bus parking lot. They are the worst thing about many tourist areas in China and it is my pet hate that they exist for anything other than people with mobility problems. The just spoil the visual look of so many wonderful places. They are also outragiously overpriced and uneccessary. I think you can get a mini bus up to the scenic area for a lot less.
