Long shot perhaps but I live in hope.. October 2011 trip

I am used to traveling but hate organised guided commercial tours with loads of other people, I often travel alone. I'm not interested in visiting shopping centers / hotels which provide incentives to guides but would like the company of an honest genuine person with some chinese/english language skills. I'm not looking for a high grade professional business class full time guide or interpreter. My ideal companion might be a student or in fact anybody of any age, male or female who wants to travel and learn about the west. If we exchange emails / messages and it looks like we will be good friends I will pay all expenses but I hope not to be taken advantage of. I realise I will have to be very careful but even after some bad experiences in the past I still believe there are good people in the world. If you think one of them could be you, message me with any questions or suggestions.
