Bird’s nest soup is a delicacy in Chinese cuisine. Chinese people have been cooking Bird’s nest soup for around 400 years. The edible bird’s nest is the main material for cooking bird’s nest soup. Some foreigners may buy bird’s nest when they are traveling in China. But some of them get cheated sometimes.

It is said that the red bird’s nest is much more precious than the white one because it contains the swiftlets’ blood. But the Vice minister of the Malaysian Agriculture Ministry says “there is no red bird’s nest. If the swiftlets vomit blood, they must be sick. Do consumers still want to eat red bird’s nest?”

Then where do those red bird’s nests come from? It is disclosed that some black hearted businessmen dye the bird’s nests with red coloring or smoke them with the swiftlets’ waste. Such bird’s nests contain much nitrite which is bad to human health.

Next time you see red bird’s nest, please don’t be fooled.

GUEST7792 The bird's nest is too expensive to consume for me. But it is really useful for those tourists who plan to buy it as gift to their families or friends. Don't get cheated.
