Shanghai & Hangzhou + Excursion - Confused! Not Sure What to Choose

RAINWED Points: Join Date: Sep 14, 2011 Status: offline	Hi, I am planning to travel with gang of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids), arrive in Shanghai 23 Oct (in late evening), and leave it on 29 Oct (at night). so basically I have 6 nights 6 days. my draft plan is 4 nights in Shanghai and 2 nights in Hangzhou. After reading more n more about water towns, now I am confused and cannot decide. I have 2 choices of rough plan; 1. Excursion to one of those famous water towns. No overnight stay. 2. Stay one night either in Suzhou or one of those water towns. so will stay only 3n in Shanghai (instead of 4n) What do you think? Is #2 too hassle? giving with 2 young kids & luggages? Out of water towns, seem in this forum, Xitang & Tongli are most recommended while others webboard say Zhouzhuang (ZZ). I know many said ZZ is very touristy, but is it that bad? and in what sense that you guys don't like ZZ. Last should I spare time for Suzhou at all? in case, I stick with original plan (4n in Shanghai & 2n in Hangzhou).

GUEST97247	I prefer Zhujiajiao Ancient Town; Riccardo Muti will also be in Shanghai and have a concert.
