I see beggars everyday in the streets and I know that some of them are not handicapped or disabled. They pretend to be handicapped to get people’s sympathy and money. I got cheated several times. But I never saw a beggar like this guy.

He kowtows to everyone who passes by and some kind hearted people will give him 1 or 2 yuan. But you will never know that he has four cars and several apartments in Beijing. His two sons wear top branded clothes and his mother has many gold jewels. Most people who give money to him actually are not as rich as him.

Since he has been exposed to the public, I believe that no one will give him money anymore. I think that he is very smart because he knows to make use of people’s sympathy to make money. But is it ok to do it?

Cherry, it is not ok to do it. But we don't have a law or regulation to deal with these people. I almost got cheated once.

It was a Sunday. I went out for shopping with my friend. The moment I stood at the bus station, an old woman came up and asked me to give her some money. She said that she lost her purse and wanted to call her family. I took out 2 yuan and gave to him. Suddenly, my friend came up, retook the money and said "Go away" to her. After she left, my friend told me that he had seen this woman many times and got cheated once. Every time she had the same excuse.

Since then he has never given money to the beggars on the street. I told him that there must be some beggars who were really in need of help. He just said "How do you tell who are real?" I really didn't know how to. Then he told me "Don't be a philanthropist until you have enough money to burn."

I should believe his words. This man is much richer than me.

I felt ashamed for him. But I will do it if it really can make me rich.

Haha, I hope I won't see you in Beijing because I am going to do it too.

GUEST5578 I hate those people who have arms and legs but don't work. Last night, I saw a man who held a small box in hands begged everyone for giving him money. When he came to me, I said "I have no money. Even I have money, I won't give it to a man like you. You are healthy. Why don't you make money on your own?" He didn't say anything and left quietly.

When I see handicapped beggars, I give them money because I know they can not work to earn money. What the hell do those healthy people beg others for money?

Beggar is also a kind of profession. This man takes it as his job and has accumulated a lot of wealth. Very smart!
