| Travelling to Zhangjiajie, we have to pass through Ningxiang, a town famous for its Thousand-hands Guan Yin. His statue is installed on top of the temple where Chairman Mao Zedong once stayed for supposedly a short while. His bed and portrait are on display. We could not but marvel at the serenity of the temple and we were excited in going up to the top where Thousand-hands Guan Yin stands majestically with the Western sun rays adding to the awe and lustre of compassion, hope and peace. I tried to capture the moments, but the real scene is much better. |
