It is October 2, 2011 and I am in Shanghai for a few days more. I would like to find a casual tour guide to help me enjoy this wonderful city. I am willing to compensate you for your time, and I do not need someone who is completely fluent in English. I can teach you more English (especially pronunciation), if you will teach me more Chinese. But I would prefer to not have a professional tour guide with over-used stories.

Please reply to this post and it will go to my email too. I have a mobile phone to call you if you will send me your number.

Thanks,
Stuart

The subways in Beijing and Shanghai are a very convenient way to get around both cities and the new automated token machines have an English instruction option making it very easy to purchase subway tokens for your destination. In many places in China, you can also rent a car or van with a driver for the day for not any more than what a rental car alone would cost you in a major US city.

Best Regards.
