2011 Fragrant Hill Red Leaf Cultural Festival opens on Oct. 12

The 23th Fragrant Hill Red Leaf Cultural Festival will be held from Oct. 12 to Nov. 6, lasting for 26 days. Don’t let the opportunity to enjoy the Red Sea pass by!
Visitors can take the following buses to reach the Fragrant Hill: No.318, No. 331, No.360, No.505, No. 563, No. 634, No. 714, No. 696, No.698 and Te 5.
The best locations to appreciate the red leaves inside the Fragrant Hill Park are: Jingcui Lake (静翠湖), Fragrant Hill Temple(香山寺), Heshun Gate(和顺门), Yuhua Villa(玉华岫) and Sweat Mist Cave(香雾窟).
Except the Fragrant Hill Park, visitors can also go to Baiwangshan Forest Park, Miaofengshan Mountain, Labagoumen Forest Valley, Shangfang Mountain Forest Park and Badaling to appreciate the red leaves.
The Badaling Red Leaf Festival was already opened on Sep. 21. Visitors can take No. 877 bus at Deshengmen Station to Badaling National Forest Park. The earliest bus leaves at 07:00 and the last one, at 12:00. The ticket price is CNY 12. It takes about 50 minutes. By the way, No. 919 bus from Deshengmen to Badaling Great Wall is also available.

Good news! I will have a business trip in Beijing very soon. I think I will spare some time to visit the Fragrant Hill.
