Hi All, I'm looking for some suggestions please. I got some fresh cooked/peeled prawns and scallops from the Fishmonger yesterday afternoon and having them for my tea this evening. I was thinking of steaming or cooking some rice (not sure if it's possible to just steam rice but it sounded nice in my head). I was thinking of doing a marie rose sauce for the prawns and just heating up the pan really hot and doing the scallops a minute on each side. A bit of assorted veg for the side and job done. However, I don't know of any extra seasoning I could use, or how to make the marie rose sauce etc. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks

MALIKA9, I have too recipes to make prawns and scallops. You can make two dishes very quickly. Steamed scallops Seasonings: Mix light soy sauce, white vinegar, salt and sugar together according to the ratio of 2:2:1:1. 1 Cut every scallop into two pieces, get rid of its entrails and wash them carefully. When the water is boiling, steam scallops for 5-8 minutes. 2 Pour mixed seasonings on the scallop and then enjoy yourself.

I do not know whether you like garlic and vermicelli. If so, you can cook steamed scallops with minced garlic and vermicelli. I tried it many times and it was very nice. Ingredients: scallops, cooking wine, vermicelli, minced garlic, minced shallot, Lee Kum Kee Seasoned soy sauce for seafood (蒸鱼豉油 in Chinese), fish gravy and chopped red pepper. Step 1 Open the scallops, use a knife to take out the meat, get rid off the entrails and wash them carefully. Step 2 make several small cuts on the meat and soak the meat in cooking wine. Step 3 Use a clean toothbrush to wash the shell carefully. Step 4 Soak vermicelli in warm water for a while. Step 5 Mix minced garlic with minced shallot and chopped red pepper together, season the mixture with Lee Kum Kee Seasoned soy sauce for seafood and fish gravy. Step 6 Put some soaked vermicelli on the shell and then put the meat on the vermicelli and pour a tablespoon mixed sauce made in step 5. Step 7 Put all scallops in the steamer. When the water is boiling, steam for 5-8 minutes. Then heat some vegetable oil and pour it over each scallop and put some minced shallot on the scallops. Dish off. Remember not to steam the scallops too long. You have to make sure the meat is tender.

Boiled prawns with broccoli Ingredients: prawns, broccoli, shallot, ginger and cooking wine Seasonings: salt, light soy sauce. Step 1 Wash broccoli and prawns separately, tear broccoli into small pieces, shred shallot and ginger separately. Step 2 Add water in the steamer and put shredded shallot, ginger, salt, cooking wine and some edible oil. Step 3 When the water is boiling, put prawns in and wait them to turn into red. Then boil for 2 minutes and get them out. Step 4 Put broccoli pieces in the boiling water and quick boil for a second and take broccoli pieces out. Step 5 Put broccoli pieces and prawns on the plate. How to eat: dip boiled prawns in light soy sauce and eat it. If you like, you can put some mustard in light soy sauce. It tastes better. Tips: 1 Add some salt and edible oil in the water when you boil vegetables. The vegetables will look very green. 2 Add some edible oil when you boil prawns. You will find that the boiled prawns look ‘shinning’.
