This is a scene from a movie I watched. Maybe, it just happens in the movie. But did you ever ask this question when you broke up with him/her? If not, what did you say to him/her?

Quite true. He/she has made up his/her mind to break up with you. No matter he/she loved you, he/she is leaving you.

If she broke up with me, I would just smile, say good wishes, turn around and walk away even my eyes were full of tears.

GUESTLILY	I can totally understand the girl. Maybe she is still in love with the boy and just asking the question to comfort herself. Another reason she asks so is that she wants to make sure it isn't a waste of time and energy when she was with the boy.
