Oct 19, 2011 22:56
guest2245 Since Oct.10, Guangzhou Taxi starting price has been raised to CNY 10/2.5 kilometers. However, the taxi fuel (CNY 2) surcharge is canceled. The renewal price is still CNY 2.6/km. According to the new program, the taxi starting price increases CNY 0.48.

In addition, 1000 new taxis will be put into from 07:30 to 19:30, aiming at providing better convenience for the public.

GUESTDOUG K Unfortunately, our experience has been most taxis refused "short distance" rides and some even refused to take "foreigners" (non Chinese citizens).

Maybe the taxi drivers are just shy. They don't know how to communicate with you guys. THere is no such law of no riding foreigners in China. It's ridiculous.
