Hello everybody! I am Marc from France 23 years old. I worked in Tianjin in 2004 for 6 months and I come back in my favourite city in June 2005. Some people are still in the town? Chinese or expats I will be glad to meet some chinese and expats people :) My objective is to learn chinese first (I already speak a little) and then to find a job or a traineeship. Does somebody know a place where I can take some chinese lessons? I know that in the Nankai it only begins in september. Thank you for your advices and see you in 2 months :o) See you around in 2 months!!!!!!!!! ;)

Hi Marc We are off to TEDA in July. Can you tell me a little about what to expect as I am feeling very nervous about travelling there with my daughter. I have no idea what we will do all day whilst my husband is at work. Will there be a park to play in, walks to go on, anything to do? Melissa

Melissa, I think Tianjin is a big city (the third one in China) so you will find a lot of things to do. This city is not very rich in term of cultural places. I mean that yhere is a famous temple, some churchs... You talked about parks, of course there are many green places where you can walk and play with your baby. Don't worry about this place, I am sure you will like it. Personnaly, when I arrived in the city, I told myself: mmmh maybe I should have choose an other city like Beijing, Shanghai but finally I am very happy of having my experience here. In Tianjin you will see an old way of leaving. The chinese people here is very warm and welcoming with the occidentals. More than everywhere else I was. So just enjoy and maybe if you feel a little lost I can help you at the beginning and show you some places. See you soon :o)

well. It's not the third biggest city of CHina now. Comparing with beijing, tianjin is more quiet along Jing Tang Tunnel. It could impress you with it's colonial architecture. According to my experience, Tianjing is more like a common Joe,which is easy to get close.
