Chinese officials at Shanghai

Hello, I was curious on how strict the officials are upon entering Shanghai? I heard that they discard "Lonely Planet" guidebook upon arrival. What other surprises can I expect. Are they rude and/or demand vaccination cards? How about other customs to make it easy like dress code? I plan to bring a few cameras with me. is that an issue? Thank you so much.Coming from US. Have great travels!

GUEST6790 A few cameras? The custom rule says that foreigners can just bring one camera to China for personal use. I don't think you can bring a few cameras into China.
