Hi all,
Will be visiting Guangzhou in August this year and have been told that golf clubs/accessories can be purchased very cheaply. Please can someone let me know where the best place for this is.

How do you mean very cheaply? There are three types of golf equipment stores in Guangzhou. And the price ranges from RMB300-1,000 in special stores where only golf equipment is offered.
Also you can find such gears in golf counters in sprots stores.
And the 3rd kind is focused on imported brand with the average price over RMB1,000.

1. Frienship Department Store at Times Square, Tianhe Bei.
2. You shouldnot miss Tianhe Ti Yu Zhong Xin(Stadium) near Tianhe Book Shopping Center, opposite to Teem Mall.

One thing to be noted is that you can ask for discount even at big department store.

Huanan(Guoji) Ti Yu Yong Pin Guang Chang (Southern China Fitness Equipment Square), located at where Daguan Road, North Zhongshan Dadao(Avenue) meets Huangcun Avenue. This is a wholesale center for such equipment.

Also the nearby Guangdong Olympics Center would also be a good option.
