Universities in Haikou

Hey

From what I know there are 2 unit in Haikou, Hainan uni and normal uni, that offer chinese courses for foreigners. Any experience with these? Which one is better for studying chinese?

GUEST36107 I studied at the normal unioversity for two years when I first arrived. They have a unique system where they are teaching Chinese students to teach Chinese to foreigners. This provides ready made tutors as the students are required to give the foreigners tutor in their chinese. The instructors are all good as well. Only complaint was they moved fast but that just seems to be a Chinese thing in general. Hai Da or what you are referring to as Hainan Uni has a very large program and moves fast. My daughter (aged 17 at the time) attended the normal university and passsed the HSK after one year.You are simply a number there. Hai Da is closer to the bar scene but the normal university is in Haikou proper, not as many foreigners. Hope this helps.
