Bringing my wife home

My wife finally received her visa and I am buying tickets.
Is there any reason she cannot fly directly fom Guangzhou to the US?
She seems to think that "everyone goes to Hong Kong first"
I told her no worries but... better safe than sorry. I think that as long as she has her passport, visa, consulate package, she will be fine leaving from Guangzhou and flying direct to LAX. Any concerns here?

GUEST2378 There is a direct flight from Guangzhou to LAX. And you still have some other options: take flight from Guangzhou and transport at Shanghai Pudong Airport, Beijing Capital Airport or Inchon International Airport.

Anyway, you can get back to the United State from China.

Hi Guest2378, yes, her concern is more procedural; for some reason, she feels that she may run into some difficulty leaving from Guangzhou, as opposed to going through HKG. I don't think there is any issue, but I told her I would ask about it.

GUEST10172 China Southern Airlines goes from Guangzhou to LAX non stop, using a B777. We just came this way last month.

Nothing to worry as long as she has a visa, passport, your information, carries no food/produce/flowers and less than 10 grand, etc with her.
