guest33167 Hi. We will be visiting HK & Macau on the 1st day of Chinese New Year - 23/1/12 - 26/1/12.

1. What's the temperature like during the period?
2. Will most of the popular cafes/restaurants/hawker stalls be closed during the period?
2. If we allocate 1day at HK, which are the must go places?

GUEST4576 1. the temperature is around 18 degrees in Macau and 16 degrees in HK.

2 The shopping malls and departments are open during the Chinese New year but the opening hours might be shorter than usual. The small restaurants and hawker stalls might be closed during that time.
3 What do you prefer, sight-seeing places or shopping areas in HK?
