It should be Xingyi, right? No direct train from Xingyi to Shenzhen. You can take train from Xingyi to Guangzhou and then take fast trains (D trains) to Shenzhen.

If I were you, I will take D trains. It takes about 1.5-2 hours from Guangzhou to Shenzhen by bus. But it just takes about 1 hour 9 minutes or 1 hour 21 minutes by D trains.

Bus fare: CNY 70-80
D train ticket: CNY 100 for first class and CNY 80 for the second class.

What's more, the D trains are much comfortable than the long distance bus.

I've found out that there are buses from Shenzhen to Xingyi. But it just passes by Xingyi. Unfortunately, I failed to find bus from Xingyi to Shenzhen. There is only one bus from Xingyi Long Distance Bus Station.

It takes about 19-25 hours by bus from Guangzhou to Xingyi, depending on where you take the bus and what kind of bus you take. Thus, it takes about the similar time from XIngyi to Guangzhou.

It takes 19-21 hours from Xingyi to Guangzhou by train. And the bus fare is almost the same as the train ticket (hard berth).

To take the train or bus. It's up to you.

When will you leave from Xingyi? The hard berth means hard sleeper.
