when should be the best time to book flights and hotels to canton fair?

I have some foreign friends that comes to canton fair. they told me they already booked the international flight this month, for april. it seems early.

Can any experience people share your idea and tell when is the best time to
book flight and hotels ?

GUESTDAVE I know the hotels will really be in demand during the Cantoon Fair. You'd make better a good preparation beforehand.
Not clear about the air-ticket thing. But I also think it a little early.
